AbstractThis study aims to obtain information related to the implementation of character education in educational personnel educational institutions in terms of: 1) policies, 2) forms of implementation, 3) achievement of implementation, and 4) obstacles encountered. Nine universities to become the samples and fiftyfour respondents from such universities were selected purposively for the reseacrh. The results of the analysis show that in general the universities: 1) have had good program for character education; 2) have a variety of forms, patterns, models, strategies and real work related to the implementation of character education; 3) have been quite successful in implementing character education; and 4) have institutional funding as one of the factors that contributes to the implementation of character education.
