PENGEJAWANTAHAN TARI GENDING SRIWIJAYA: SOCIOCULTURAL DALAM PERSPEKTIF NILAI

Tari Gending Sriwijaya merupakan tari sambut asal Sumatera Selatan yang sejauh ini dipandang sebagai icon cultural. Sebagai warisan nilai estetika dari perjalanan sejarah yang panjang, tari ini dapat difungsikan sebagai bentuk manifestasi nilai. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menafsirkan nilai-nilai apa saja yang terkandung dalam setiap gerakan tari Gending Sriwijaya, menerjemahkan nilai-nilai tersebut, serta relevansinya dengan realitas yang ada pada masyarakat selama ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik observasi/pengamatan dan kajian literatur. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya sumbangsih literasi makna yang sangat luas dari setiap gerakan tari Gending Sriwijaya. Setelah dikaji melalui pendekatan sociocultural, ditemukan bahwa nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam tari Gending Sriwijaya terdiri dari nilai sosial, nilai budaya, nilai moral dan nilai religius. Nilainilai tersebut masih relevan untuk diterapkan dalam kehidupan masyarakat saat ini.References
